Current Unit: Rivers in Motion

Grade 8 STEAM • 3 weeks

Students map local Meramec River gradients using watercolor value studies first, then basketball-court pacing drills to model stream velocity. We layer Monet’s Rouen series light onto satellite overlays and finish by writing Bob Dylan-style verses about erosion as metaphor for personal change.

Outcome: Differentiated exit projects that actually ask good questions instead of chasing right answers.
